Not all equity is the same, nor should it be. Strategic and financial buyers have different criteria and time horizons for their investments. We focus on aligning your objectives with that of the different source of capital. We do not raise capital from individuals.
We structure deals to align business interests.
Sometimes strategic buyers will try to gain a future advantage by asking for a right of first refusal or financial investors will calculate their equity contributions to include debt which overstates their ownership. We structure deals so our clients will be able to maximize future value when it is time to exit.
